Iranian President Ahmadinejad met the United Nations General Assembly in Tehran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad meeting with the chairman of the UN General Assembly Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann here on Monday Iran announced that the presidential site.

"Iranian President and Chairman of the UN General Assembly met this afternoon and exchanged views on important regional and international issues", says on the site.

Ahmadinejad stressed the need for fundamental changes in the world situation, and noted that "we must make every effort to block as well as changes in the world, based on spirituality, justice, morality and humanity.

For his part, d'Escoto spoke about Iran an important and influential role in improving the situation in the world, and notes that "(we) have been efforts to improve the living conditions of people and eradicating poverty in the world.

The previous Monday, Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann, said the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Center for Political Studies, said that "the main problem of the United Nations is the lack of cooperation from the U.S. in the body of the World" after the semi-official Fars News Agency report .

"If the United Nations was founded, had two main objectives. War should be avoided, and the other was to ensure peace and security," he said.

"Well, the five permanent members of the Security Council has blocked the establishment of the United Nations to maintain peace and security in connection with (large) body."

Brockmann, in his first visit to Iran to attend the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran on Wednesday.
