Russia and China are the co-ordination of proposals for a new currency, the world would replace the dollar as reserve currency, to avoid a repetition of the global economic crisis, the Kremlin said on Monday.
"We have proposals from our colleagues in China, the detailed proposals," President Dmitry Medvedev has begun Economic Adviser Arkady Dvorkovich said talk to AFP. "Our position is very similar.
"We have similar positions on international financial architecture," he told reporters.
Prior to the summit of the G-20, in London later this week, the Kremlin has made several proposals for changes in global economic policy, including plans for a supranational currency, which will replace the U.S. dollar ..
China has similar ideas.
U. S. President Barack Obama said that he did not understand why the dollar should be replaced, and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that the summit will have more pressing matters.
"Until now, not everything is ready to move forward," said Dvorkovich. "We will insist that at all levels."
Medvedev said that the international community should have a voice, if the world's wealthiest countries to the adoption of the global implications, both in the U.S. financial crisis triggered by the collapse of the mortgage market subprime, or high risk.
Moscow, however, also means that many countries are not prepared to accept the new "political commitment" Dvorkovich said, expressing hope that the big countries, at least, open to consultations on this issue.
Dvorkovich said that he hoped Russia and other large developing countries also have the right to vote, and they deserve attention in a meeting of the Group-20.
"We hope that our voice will be heard, but I would like to emphasize that we have no desire to vote against the mine, which with our partners," he said, emerging economies of Brazil, India and China in Russia that are commonly referred to as "BRIC .
"This is a common (BRIC), exemption, or if it is," said Dvorkovich. "This is a summit of Heads of State and Government of the G-20 countries.
